Willow's Warriors and The Disturbers is a book that closely mirrors contemporary events in the ongoing struggle for the survival of the planet. The Disturbers, as antagonists, serve as a means to thwart the efforts of The Warriors and also shine a light on the insatiable greed that exists in the exploitation of the Earth's natural resources in these modern times. The characters were drawn from examples of actual individuals who hold positions of power and are given a sarcastic seriousness to their evil-doing activities.
