My kids were complaining that everything they were reading was making them feel yucky. The 8-12 hours it takes is a longtime to feel sad, creeped out, or yucky if that's what the story is making you feel. I wanted to write something where they felt good the entire time they were reading it, and upbeat fun story that let you sit in a good vibration the entire time.

I also think literature of 100 years ago vs now is an interesting topic to research, and that inspired a lot of this too. I needed a book for advanced readers with some bigger words, but for younger children. This book is for advanced readers who don't want to handle the emotionally heavy topics often found in more advanced books.

This book came with BIG MAGIC and help from the universe. I would run everyday and the next part would find me. It is really fun to write when even you don't know what will happen next.

I love thinking about infinity and concepts too big for our minds like outer space going on forever. I wanted to incorporate that for younger children to think about too.

I hope you enjoy reading this with your children. Willow is a girl who feels left out when her family moves, both at home in a big family and in school. She is whirled into another universe when she stubs her toe in the sidewalk crack. This new world has mermaids, fairies with wings, and rainbow light where she makes new friends, and finds her own wings as she helps in the search for the missing queen's crown.
