The Medusa was a monster, a gorgon. Described as having the face of a hideous human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Gazing directly on her would turn onlookers to stone. Sometimes Willow felt like and looked like a Gorgon that's when "IT" came out and she just had to kill somebody, anybody.
