During World War II Willard was promoted to general manager of a new wartime division of Bendix located in Owosso, Michigan to make parts for our B-17 and B-24 bomber airplanes. Willard and his family lived in a unique home in Owosso built by James Oliver Curwood, an author of adventure stories.
