It is eight o'clock, and the final glimpse of light has just disappeared. The parquetry floorboards are cold, and so is the whisky next to the typewriter. Down sits Vivienne, her hair tied back. Taking a small sip of whisky from the lowball glass, she stares pensively out the window. With every mouthful taken and every key pressed, her reality is challenged.
