I bought this book in 1992 when I was lucky enough to live in Calgary for three years. I took it on every hike in each of the national parks covered by the guide, and it is tattered now from constant use. It is my most-prized possession, with notations next to each of the species I have identified thanks to the clear descriptions and good photos in the book. There is a listing of where the flower can be found--Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Waterton, or Yoho--so you have a better idea of which species can be present in a certain location. The flowers are separated into four groupings by color, which is also helpful. If you like flowers and are traveling to the parks on the Alberta/BC border, definitely get this book!
