Wilcox West & Young Matt Masterson Young Fritz Wilcox journeyed on from where he grew up on the Saint Croix River Valley of Wisconsin and had a calling to find his fortune with his companion. Matt Masterson starts out just after the Civil War from near Mammoth Cave Kentucky and with his companion take a southern route out west. They both end up In South Dakota and find a home in the Spokane Valley just south of Keystone were a ghost town sprung up in 1891 and was gone by 1897. Both boys make something of themselves but in entirely different ways.
