There are many reasons why people don't believe in God. Perhaps you simply feel that you don't need God. You think you are just fine all on your own and have no need for a higher power.Perhaps you find God to simply be unbelievable. You view God as the central figure in a rather implausible fairy tale. For you, the attributes ascribed to God seem entirely unrealistic, especially in light of our modern scientific age.Or maybe you believe in "something" but find the Judeo-Christian god to be unfair and too uncompromising. You take offense at a god who would deny "good" people entrance into Heaven simply because they have failed to follow the narrow path of Christ.Perhaps your sticking point is what C.S. The purpose of this book is to address each one of these reasons and to illustrate what I hope you will find to be a valid counterpoint to each argument.My objective is not to beat you over the head with Christian doctrine. Rather than ask you to narrow your mind and blindly accept a religious dogma, I instead invite you to open your mind and examine your assumptions from a different perspective.
