Why Stories by E.W. Dolch

Great book. My eleven year old dyslexic son enjoys reading the Dolch basic books. These are some of the few books he can read alone that are interesting for older readers. My eight year old son also enjoys these books.

I read it to my third graders and they love it.

I am sorry these wonderful books are out of print. I have used them and enjoyed them with my elementary classes for years. I wanted new editions as mine are wearing out. They are excellent as high interest, limited vocabulary for hesitant readers. The children really enjoy this collection of tales from all over the world. I have even used these stories with eighth grade English as a Second Language students.
