Should've been written 90 years ago...

I know Justin personally and I myself am the District Chairman for the Scoutreach District in Mecklenburg County. It is extremely hard to compete with a football or a basketball in our community because we equate both of those to status, power and money. Alot of the boys don't understand that the Coaches make as much as the players alot of times if not more, the Marketing Firms and Attorneys for these players also make a nice chunk as well...and where can a Black inner city boy meet all of these Men and Women in the Boy Scouts of America. My Son can learn alot more from the CEO of Dominos than a Shaq anyday...in fact I bet Shaq has his number on speed dial. It's more to just passing and dunking a ball we have to teach our young men to be leaders and as an Eagle Scout I speak as that once inner city youth that I am trying my hardest to save. Like Chris Rock Said " I live on a block with Mary J. Blidge and and Jay Z what does my other neighbor do ......he's a dentist!!" We gotta get it together people.
