Anthony Salter spent 37 years in the RAF covering the whole of the Cold War. He flew aircraftinvolved in the Nuclear Tests in Australia and on Christmas Island at very high altitudes. He served inAustralia, Germany, India, United States and Ecuador. He flew Helicopters in England, Europe, andNorthern Ireland. He was also a diver and dived all-round the UK and, in the Mediterranean, andcompleted the Royal Navy Ship's Diving Officer Course in 1969. He retired in 1989 and he and hiswife Gillian moved to Devon where they worked with various Christian charities.
