Why Me? Why Me? He Asked!

In the year 2030, Jim Hastings is just another average man living and working in a factory in a small town. The town of Carsonville South Carolina, with a population of twelve-hundred and ninety-five. Jim Hastings is a man that loves his family, friends, and his work. His family is very dear to him, until one day when he is severely injured in an accident at work. The paramedics from work treat his head wounds and lacerations until the ambulance arrives to transport him to the Carsonville-Medical-Center, just outside of town. When he arrives in the ER, his condition is serious and life-threatening. He has a concussion and several severe lacerations on his: chest, back, arms, and legs. After the preliminary examination, they send him to have a CT, and then an MRI, to determine the severity of the head injury. Several hours later he is admitted to a room in the ICU.
The next day Jim Hastings wakes up in his bed at home and find that his wife, Amy, and sons, Jim Jr., and Tommy are gone. They are nowhere to be found. Jim searches the house, and garage, and walks outside to find the streets of Carsonville deserted. His family and the entire population of Carsonville have disappeared. Jim Hastings does not waste any time in starting to search for his family and does not have any idea of the incredible and sometimes unbelievable things that are going to happen to him along the way on his journey.
