Alex and Evelyn. Living in New York now after moving away from New Jersey where Simran was murdered. Alex still telling Evelyn stories about who her mother was so she could learn more and more about her mother. Evelyn is 12 years old and wants to be a world-renowned pianist one day and maybe a singer just like her mother. Being Indian and Caucasian, Evelyn got bullied a lot at school, but one day she decided to retaliate. Alex was on his way to pick up Evelyn from school but she wasn't there when he got to the principals office.

Not knowing what to do he called his closest friends for help then he went to find out what happened to Evelyn. The next few hours were hell for Alex after a car crash and his friend Theo. He promised Simran that he would always keep Evelyn safe so he needed to find any way possible to keep that promise.
