This is a fascinating and well thought-out book describing the downside of marrying technology and the workplace. The author's proposition is that underneath all of the pollyanna-ish hype, office technology is being used to control workers more closely than ever before. The book is loaded with Canadian examples, so it probably would not be appreciated by non-Canadian readers. Also, the author approaches these issues from a left-of-centre, pro-labour perspective, which will be appealing to some readers and a turn-off for others.
