For ages people have been seeking to abscond with the moon. But, what would happen if it were to really be stolen? Panic and havoc, that's what.

"The sea is dead, the sea is dead," the man continually repeated.

"My animals; dogs, geese and goats have all gone mad," said a woman.

"My children, my wife and my mother-in-law all respect me," one man said.

But who will find and return the moon before it is too late? While the town council argues the matter, Joan knew, this is not the time for discussion, but for action.

With her daughters lined up in front of her, Joan kissed each one on the top of the head. She couldn't help feeling she was throwing her children to the lions. But yet, deep down inside, she also knew they would be fine.

Brand, the oldest, like her mother, could speak to animals. Amber, the middle child, was learning to control fire. And Fay, the youngest, had yet to discover her ability.
