As 'an 8-year-young train traveler' Elly Wouterse went on vacation to Austria. On board she was glued to the window while 'the big beautiful world' tied the score. Ever since fascinated and still glued to "the window" still watching, noticing, listening, thinking, feeling, experiencing, dreaming and - or fantasizing she finds the inspiration for her word-painted Poetical Visuals in various forms of (non)rhyming, (non)formatted poetry forms about a wide variety of subjects. Elly Wouterse enjoys being a word-smith. The contradiction between the almost ostensible unlimited space of a free verse and, also ostensible, smallest possible space of a Japanese Haiku is, each time, a real temptation and a surprising revelation. Participating in poetry contests is another, successful, challenging part of her writing activities. Elly Wouterse wants to develop her writing skills further It is something she really enjoys. As a child her dream was a little garden house, with a desk and a type-writer, and finding herself sitting at that desk writing.... Nowadays - she displays in her books what flows out of her fountain pens when she's in the flow Well - Elly Wouterse found her home with a (kind of) garden house and garden.
