"The Harsh Rub" gives reactions to basically having a bad day. "Loves Lost" are about the ones that got away, including two selections about loss through death. "Toil's Trouble" is some views of the difficulty of the need to work for a living. "The Body Clock" is a poem in this section that I've dedicated to all those who work graveyard shift out of necessity. "Out of Touch" portrays feelings of alienation.

Each section has poems and insights that everyone can identify with. When you take a moment to reflect on your own life, you will find a poem or thought offered in this book to help define your feelings.
