This is a saga of family and deceit set in the North-west Highlands of Scotland and Houston, Texas. Eilid Stuart is tall, blond with laser like blue eyes deadly with a rifle and, at 21, the only female Deer Stalker in Scotland. In January of 1959 She rescues an infant boy, the sole survivor of a plane crash, who is returning with his mother to the US. Aided and abetted by her Uncle, a doctor, she "acquires" the child. . 34 years later a photograph in a Scottish newspaper is sent to Red Ericsson by a friend who is struck by the similarity of the leader of a new political party in Scotland & Lance Ericsson, Red's remaining twin son. Red hires a private detective to investigate. The Scottish investigator eventually discovers that Charles Stuart is in fact Jens Ericsson, Red's missing son. Lance Ericsson's decision to remove his brother brings events to a dramatic conclusion while Red moves to confront the abductor of his child and bring her to justice.
