"There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance." - Socrates Meaningful improvement within the broader Black community will only occur when it is built on a foundation of knowledge. Sixty years of trial and failure are a testament to that premise. The purpose of this book is to build a bridge from the headline mentality that is so prevalent today to a conversation based on knowledge; what will and will not work. We have the talent and treasure to narrow the racial and wealth divide, but there needs to be a clear focus on what will have an impact while putting aside inciteful inaction. Moving past fear, greed and ignorance is a first step. Building on the cornerstones of measurable progress is step two; education, jobs/capital, justice reform, safer neighborhoods, a family culture. After reading this book I ask that you send me your thoughts in hopes of continuing the conversation. Email me at: privilegeordisadvantage@gmail.com
