WHITE CHOCOLATE is dedicated to the memory of my father, named Cordell Brown Sr., who died in 2021. He was one of my favorite people to be around as White Chocolate is one of my favorite foods to eat. The title is also symbolic of my Dad's great love for my mom whose skin color is like White Chocolate; She being a Creole whose own parents and family migrated from Haiti, Louisiana, Texas, and New York to live in the World War II Era War Industry of Northern California. I might add that my mom's grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. White Chocolate which encompasses elements of rhyme, alliteration, consonance, imagery, symbolism, metaphor, personification, and simile is dedicated then to both of my parents.
