Whispers in the Pines - Summary

Journalist Samantha Carter arrives in the secluded village of Black Hollow to investigate the disappearance of her brother, Matthew, who vanished in the haunted Whispering Pines. The locals warn her to stay away, speaking in hushed whispers of the Watchers-tall, shadowy figures that roam the forest, taking those who stray too far.

With the help of Jake, a rugged forest ranger, Samantha uncovers the village's dark history: every few decades, the forest claims a sacrifice. Her brother was marked to be the next.

Determined to save him, Samantha ventures deep into the forbidden Hollow, where she confronts the Watchers and performs a desperate ritual to break the curse. Matthew is freed-but the forest takes her instead.
