Whiskey Runner

It's early summer of 1926, prohibition is in full swing, and Tomas McGinnis and his stunning girlfriend, Erika Nelson, are smuggling whiskey from Vancouver, British Columbia to Seattle when they're ambushed by pirates in the Strait of San Juan de Fuca. During the ensuing gun battle, Erika scores a hit on the gas tank of one of the pirate boats, but Tom is shot in the chest. Erika proves capable and gets the Irish Rose, Tom's boat, back to Seattle with both Tom and the whiskey intact. Tom's been smuggling whiskey for five years, but when his gunshot wound puts him out of business, Erika takes over the operation. She is able to continue, but she eventually comes to the attention of two government agents, Tyler Harrod and Spencer Nix. Also there are the pirates, whose boat she sunk. They are after revenge. Tom contracts pneumonia and dies leaving Erika on her own, but business is too lucrative to give up so she recruits Ernie, a friend of Tom's from the Seattle docks. While Erika is having her problems, Spencer Nix looses his job after giving Tyler Harrod a piece of his mind and plenty of his fists. By chance, he meets Erika at The Pioneer Building, home of Seattle's finest speakeasy. After she convinces him to go to work for her, she's back in business.
