In Whimsy Loses Her Whisper, Whimsy the mouse, runs into trouble when she can only shout everything she says. She finds herself upsetting friends and making people mad. She is confounded about how she could have lost her Whisper, and finds several ways to look for it, all in vain. She seeks help from Dr. Mortimer Mole and Professor Oliver Owl as her friends all help her search mountains, rivers, and caves to try to find her Whisper. It isn't until the librarian, Miss Maybelle takes a walk that everything is resolved. Whimsy suffers highs and lows emotionally but because of the relationships she has forged, she has many people to support her through her troubles.
