A short parable of Master Nomi as he reveals the Ten Paradoxes to three travelers looking for their Zen. They mystically encounter the Hut of the Blind Donkey in Japan. This small hilltop monastery... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This little book packs a lot of insights in a very quick read. I got both books in the series, the BIG book, "The Ten Paradoxes" and what I call the LITTLE book, "Where's My Zen?" If you are looking for a great intro to some of the most comprehensive ideas I have seen in a long time about spirituality and how to apply in directly into your life, like in sports, relationships, or business, then get the little book. But if it makes you feel like you are left hanging, which so many of these type of books can--"The Power of Now" left me hanging--then move into, "The Ten Paradoxes". I have never seen a more complete guide to the complicated subject of enlightenment and peak performance. It's truly amazing! But be willing to spend the time necessary to get through its almost 800 pages and if you do...you leave it with a new perspective of our reality as humans. I never understood enlightenment in terms of what Master Nomi calls No Mind--it's the universal aspect of ourselves that can elevate us out of our present condition. Get us out of the 'mind box' and expand our awareness past the day to day rituals we that binds us. Its made a big difference in my life and how I see things. Eye-opening!

Amazing, I practiced one of the paradoxes that Master Nomi discussed in the book, and during a swim meet I had a peak experience while swimming. I was totally in the moment, in the "flow" of the action of the swim and the real incredible thing is my coach noticed my performance to be better than she had seen. I highly recommend the book to sports enthusiasts.

The fact that this book has proven scientific methods behind its more spiritual thinking is what really motivated me to buy it. And I was right. I already see a difference in my performance at work and all my co-workers are noticing it as well. The goal of reaching "Peak Performance" as outlined in the book is truly attainable. I feel a renewed strength in all aspects of my life. I highly recommend this book. It is easy to read but very impactful.
