When little Luca attempt's to surf like his big brother does, he is confronted with opposition due to his age and size, he decides to take matters into his own hands trying to surf on his own and while doing so he finds himself in trouble, after calling out to God for help, Wendell the whale swims on the scene and rescues Luca, as Wendell takes his new friend to safety, a big wave comes under Wendell and he finds himself surfing the wave, against his father's advice he decides to keep riding the waves, and soon they find themselves in trouble again. The two of them take the reader on an exciting suspense filled journey both on land and under the sea meeting the various creatures along the way who help Wendell's father and mother who were frantically looking for him come to his rescue. Children are introduced to God's word with easy-to-understand Biblical scripture written on the bottom of the pages that will help them visualize how God can help them if they ever find themselves in similar situations. Children will love this book. The vivid illustrations and colors you will not find in other children's books.
