Malinna is terrified of the husks stalking the fog, but she's more terrified of how safe she feels next to Rauth. And Rauth, who swore off feeling anything in this place, is losing that fight too.
But something ancient has rooted itself into Malinna's mind. Now she has to decide what she'll burn to save her sister. And as she begins to slip beyond herself, Rauth must decide what he's willing to sacrifice to pull her from the jaws of rot, knowing he may not survive it. And Malinna may not forgive him if he does.
