"Where Madmen Rule is a hard science fiction romp in the vein of Robert Heinlein or James Hogan...I wound up reading this novel straight through, and it has been a long time since I have been this captivated by a book. Highly recommended..."
--SciFiGuy (Amazon)

"Excellent, good old-fashioned science fiction adventure: a roller-coaster plot... great, no-nonsense writing...If you like...(a) fast-paced, witty adventure story, you're going to like this."
--Catherine Griffin (Goodreads)

It's a story as old as humanity. Boy meets girl. Boy gets girl. Psychotic madman with hots for girl arranges bloody coup d' tat and throws them both into prison.

Mike Hayden should never have been rounded up after the assassinations went down. A construction worker who hated politics, his specialties were cognitive control equipment and separating Hyumbarian speculators from their spare change in card games. But when he stops three men from mugging Theresa Seyboldt in a dark alley one night, she gives him the kind of kiss that's guaranteed to lob an incendiary device into a man's brain. There was only one problem: Theresa turned out to be a political troublemaker. And that meant Mike should have reached for a fire extinguisher instead of kissing her back.

After the United Planets transport vessel mysteriously blows up, Mike wakes up in jail, nursing a brain concussion and trying to remember what the hell happened. What he eventually recalls is not comforting. An official Enemy Of The State, he's now marked for a bullet between the eyes. Just as he's about to lose hope, somebody accidentally lets him comm-link with a crew of construction spyders. It's just the opening he needs to leap from the smelting crucible directly into the blast furnace...

If you like flawed main characters, futuristic technology, and political intrigue, you'll love this book.

Buy it, read it, contemplate it. Set in the distant future, it's a story as relevant to our day as this morning's Breaking News.
