Cassandra was a boss in everything she did and dating was no exception. She called the shots when dating and played the game like some men. She never let them get close enough to see her vulnerability or experience her love. Even his dog, Boy, was working his angle with Cassie's dog, Princess, to make it happen.
Staton had never seen a Northern wind as formidable blow through the town like Cassie and if she accomplished her goal, the town's power structure would collapse and new players would be in control.
