While there are plenty of books aimed at the parents of children who may have a speech disorder or delay, the author had not been able to come by a book that was for children. And that is how, "Where Are My Words?", came to be.
"Where Are My Words?" is a children's storybook that details, for children and in the words of a child, what it is like to have a speech delay or disorder. The author, using her middle son as inspiration, presents the journey from prior to a diagnosis being made up to overcoming a speech delay or disorder. The story shows the reader that they are not alone in their journey and there is comfort in knowing that.
