Where are my parents?

"Come fetch some water, darling Harsh," Mrs. Ravinder said.
Harsh looked up at his mother from his bed in a room that he shared with his two sisters Priti and Naveen in nineteen-eighties New Delhi, India. The heat even at six o'clock in the morning was so strong, ten-year-old Priti was panting in her sleep with her asthma, she could not breathe. Harsh looked over at Priti, always concerned that she could not breathe in the heat. Harsh did not look like his sister Priti, or his nine-year-old sister Naveen who was sleeping fitfully as usual. Naveen would often ask questions Priti and Harsh about the Ravinders, such as why do we not have the identifications that we need as citizens of India from our parents, why the Ravinders kept the children locked down in the home, and why they were not going to school even though it was the law to do so. Harsh did not know the answer. He found their parents strange as well.
