Where Angels Tread

To be at the bedside of a Christian as death approaches is very sacred. It's 'A Place Where Angels Tread.' I stayed with my departed mother until the funeral home attendant arrived. Before they took her from the room, I asked for several minutes more to be alone with my mother. My whole life from my early childhood days to the present flashed through my mind. There were no regrets. Nobody could have had a better and more loving mother. I knew I had returned that love and done everything I could for her during her recent illness. As I looked at her for the last time and then turned to leave the room, my eyes fell on a beautiful ceramic dish garden that my sons, Bill and Tim, had given her on a Mother's Day visit the previous Sunday. Etched into the front of the ceramic planter in bold letters were three endearing words, words that soar on the wings of eagles, words that transcend time and space and reach beyond the grave, words that read, 'We Love You.'
