Over the years I've been asked what it is like raising a child with special needs, how we cope, how we manage to battle on through the tough times, so I decided to write it all down on paper in the hopes that it raises awareness and may even help someone who is going through the same journey. This is my true account about a life with a special boy - the highs, and the lows, of which there are many, from milestones to grief. In this book my life is laid bare. Some people I know say that I'm exceptionally strong for persevering through the tough times like I do and still holding my head up, I've even been called superwoman once or twice, but the truth is, I'm none of those things; I'm just an ordinary mum to an extraordinary boy.
