Great book!

Marsha Warsaw's book pulls the reader in. The characters are very real and believable, and the plot kept me engaged throughout the entire story. As a Christian, I appreciated the theme of God's love and guidance throughout the story. But because it is subtle and woven throughout the story as part of the characters' lives, I think that non-Christian readers will still enjoy the book. The idea that triumph can follow tragedy is a theme appropriate for all.

exciting and uplifting

I was immediately hooked on this book and continually enjoyed the way the plot evolved. I have always been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings series and I found this book to be just as exciting and suspenseful. Even though it was set in a different time and place, the characters were very easy to relate to. The book left me feeling encouraged that God will take care of us and use any situation as a means to do good. I was very impressed with the quality of writing for this being the author's first book, and I look forward to her next work.
