Like most little girls from the fifties, my dream was to get married, have children, and live happily ever after. After all, my childhood was full of playing with baby dolls, paper dolls, playing nurse, playing teacher, and I wanted to be just like my mom. When I met the boy of my dreams, I assumed everything else would fall into place. I never dreamed my life would be anything but perfect. That wasn't the journey God took me on. The story is about the jolts and bumps on that road that almost took me over the cliff. It is the story of trust and obedience, and the lessons I learned for a lifetime. My husband was tired of playing house, and I was tired of fighting what seemed like a never-ending battle. We were put through a test, and we weren't sure what to do. For me, there was no choice. Divorce was never an option. I never knew anyone who got one. It didn't sound like something I wanted, so I turned to God. It was a long, bumpy road with no end in sight. When I realized I couldn't fix it, I released it and let God work his miracle.
