Very enjoyable.

I read this book after visiting Cedar Rapids and Brucemore. I enjoy historical places and this book made Brucemore "come to life" for me. It gives the reader a good look at life of the upper class in the first half of the twentieth century. The author also has a good sense of humor and makes the reading fun and educational. I loved reading about all the modes of transportation available to those who could afford it. On the whole, I enjoyed this book very much.
