When the Sun Met the Moon is a great children’s book by Simran Mohinani. It was a cute story of how the sun was lonely and was in need of a partner and a break. During the search, the Sun, finds the Moon. The two are able to form a perfect partnership to give one another a break. I love how there were a few lessons to be learned within the pages. The Sun was feeling down and exhausted from continually lighting the Earth. Finally, decided to reach out for help and got the help and support that they need. We all need to have a support system to keep from us refreshed and energized. When the Sun Met the Moon would not be complete without the talents of Leo Hartas. I love how the drawings of the sun, the moon and the landscapes of each page. The illustrations perfectly follow the story. I found the pictures to be a quite helpful addition to keep a younger minds focused as to what was going on. I am giving When the Sun Met the Moon four stars. I would recommend it for readers who are between the ages of five and ten years old. It would be a good addition for a children’s library at home or at school. My family and I look forward to reading more by Simran Mohinani in the near future. I received a paperback copy of When the Sun Met the Moon from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

When the Sun Met the Moon is a story of the sun and the moon meeting for the first time. The sun brings so much light to the universe and the moon brings us our nighttime, just as God made it in the beginning. Children will enjoy hearing story as you read it to them and will be sure to ask you to read it over and over. And the illustrations by Leo Hart’s are the most beautiful, all of the beautiful blues of nighttime and the bright colors of the sun. The Sun and the Moon characters are so adorable as well. The cover of the hardcover book is simply adorable. Any child would love to have this book in their library. I encourage you to check out this book for your child. They will love the story and they will love looking at the beautiful pictures as well. When the Sun Met the Moon by Simran Mohinani gets 4 stars from me.
