WHEN THE LIGHT DIES
"If one day we meet again, do not speak to me. Play. Play our story. I will listen, until the night takes me too."
On the Andalusian coast, Alejandro R os, a former virtuoso pianist broken by love, lives in seclusion in a white villa overlooking the sea. Clara, a brilliant Franco-Spanish journalist, has shared his life for three years. But Alejandro's silence, his old wounds, and his pride push her to leave. He loves her enough to let her go, convinced she will return-out of pride, out of fear.
From Paris to Rome, from Venice to Mexico, When the Light Dies is a journey through deep emotions: love seeking itself, pride that destroys, impossible forgiveness, and the mourning of what might have been. Alejandro composes a sonata for Clara, unfinished, like their story. She discovers other men, other lives-but none resonate with the silent music he has left within her.
In this intensely moving novel, the author explores the nuances of unspoken love, the power of letting go, and the ultimate light of farewell. A heartrending narrative, inspired by Julio Iglesias' La Media Vuelta, where every word seems to carry the trace of a sigh, a suspended note.
