When The Ladder Falls

Aiden Henry was on a business flight but had no idea it would take him places that he and those around him ever imagined were possible. But once on the ground, something catastrophic had happened. There wasn't another human being around. Other than the passengers and flight crew, the world they returned to was void of humanity. Aiden and the others had no idea why. They had no idea what happened and when it occurred. Aiden, however, was of an independent nature. If what they were confronting was soon to be about survival, he wanted to achieve that alone. He didn't trust groups let alone takeover leaders. As a consequence, Aiden entered into a world transformed. But transformed by what was the most pressing question. Who or what had taken control? And if that were the case, had reality or time been eclipsed in the process?

It would take some time to unravel a mystery that had implications for a troublesome and ominous future-something that mankind is currently creating. Aiden didn't realize it, but he had to travel to the future to experience what was yet to come and then return to warn about it.
