There is another Terry ! and a Giant !

I read this book on a visit to see my brother in Florida .I was propelled back to those days of the 30's and always been a admirer of the old Oklahoman ?( Carl Hubbard) with a Naw Yawk team ,and not named ""Mickey''.Always been a Yam ( Yankee ) hater , though the two World Series's 1936,37 where the Yams and Giants fought and the latter lost are great to read about .The ''Meal Ticket Hubbard performed well and the Giants was the only team that won ''games ''from the 1936,27,28,39 Yams in those 2 Series's Bill Terry reminded me of Al Simmons of the Old Elephants !. Yes there was Giants in those days . A overall great Biography ,and it made me find a Biography of the ''Meal Ticket''? ( Carl Hubbard).I was never a Dodger fan , though the Giants has been a guilty pleasure for many years . A National Fan with an interest in the old Senators of 1933 World Series between the Giants and Senators was a rewarding experience very well displayed. I have now became a definite 30's aficionado of the old leagues by reading this book. Caan't go wrong if you like the Era.
