No one wants to believe abuse can happen to a precious child. I wrote this to help children who are or have experienced abuse, as well as children who may know someone who is being abused. When asked why I wanted to write this book knowing that it was a difficult subject and would be a difficult book for marketing purposes, my response was this: What good is my gift to write if what I write does not have the ability to help those who need it the most? If this book only sells one copy and it helps one child, then this book will have done what it was meant to. The world needs this book, and as long as there is even one child-like Tyler, there is a purpose for this book. A life of purpose is a life well lived.
