when summer fades to fall: a poetry series about changes, growth + seasons of life

By leta iris

"when summer fades to fall" is a tender collection of poetry & prose that navigates the human experience as a young woman in her twenties. written by leta iris, this collection explores extensive themes of nostalgia, growth, heartache, betrayal, nature, interpersonal relationship experiences and midnight reflection. this book is written for those who yearn, the people who spend all night contemplating- those who are sick with nostalgia and haunted by the past. if you ache for poetry with haunted imagery, bug & fruit metaphors, the complexity of mental illness and the bruise of girlhood- this collection is for you. divided into four sections, each one filled with pieces that cater to the reflective theme: seasonal life change following the death, growth and life of a tree. watercolor leaves explores the slow journey downward, spiraling into death, reflection, and betrayal. watering seeds navigates numbing heartbreak and lonely sadness. growth of saplings reflects on growing up, eldest daughter insight, friendship break ups, and nostalgia. the last chapter, harvesting fruit, revolves around love, positivity, growth, and healing. this book was intended to understand you, in all of your flaws. it was meant to be a comfort, a validation, an encouragement that you are not alone in your struggle. this book will see you for who you are, a mirror of intuition that will speak to areas of creativity that are sleeping, in need of nourishment.
