Monica Wang has writing in Electric Literature, Southword, Salamander, The Malahat Review, EVENT, Banshee, Channel, and Augur Magazine, among other publications. In 2022 she was shortlisted for the W&A Working-Class Writers' Prize and in the Redline Festival Poetry Competition. She completed a creative writing MA at the University of Exeter, earning the Paddon Award for Best Postgraduate Creative Writing. Her poetry has also been shortlisted/honourable mention in the Split Lip Magazine Tenth Anniversary Contest, Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku Invitational, Setouchi-Matsuyama Haiku Contest, etc. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, she grew up in Taipei and Vancouver, Canada, and has spent the past seven years living across four countries in Europe.
