Good Book

This book was similar to my child's experience of child care so she enjoyed reading it over and over again. It helped open a dialogue about mom and dad working.

Simple helpful book

We used this book to prepare our two year old son for a transition to part time daycare. The text is clear and concise, a few lines per page with illustrations. The illustrations show ethnic diversity. The author avoids stereotypes, for example; the mother works as a car salesperson while the father is a teacher and there are male and female daycare workers. The book takes a young girl through her day at daycare and ends with mommys and daddys return. There are tips for parents at the end of the book.
