There are places in this world that 'call' us in a way that simply cannot beignored. For me, Kailash was such a place. In the nineteen-nineties when I made this journey it was not an area of the world much frequented by westerners. Many in Tibet, India and Nepal aspired to make this journey but only a few were ever able to actually do it.
