When Gods Slumber

By John Blackhall

The rulers of fate have fallen. Ancient powers are set loose upon the mortal world.

The divine city of Axis once ruled over creation as Gods slept. That was, until the city fell to ruin.

Zirnitra longs to become a student of the fates. Unaware that Axis nears its doom, she is swept under the wings of an unlikely mentor, and must navigate a new path if she hopes to survive.

In the world of Karnos, Eryn's hometown is attacked and her uncle is captured. On discovering she can conjure a blade of light from thin air, she is forced to hide its power - or risk catastrophe.

Meanwhile, monsters called "The Grey" lurk in the shadows. Their touch is a death sentence, their true origins a mystery. One man seeks to harness their power to his advantage...

THE GODS ARE SLEEPING. THE GREY ARE RISING. A GIRL IS WAKING UP.

When Gods Slumber is a novel set in a fantastical universe. A modern world meets myth, magitech and monsters, as a cast of morally-grey characters tread the boundaries of good and evil.
