I should be dead, thanks to Mikey. Ein, Maverick, and Aurora worked their tails off to bring me back from the brink. But Mikey's become something new: a Mindless Bleeder. I didn't even know it was possible. Then again, society doesn't know much about us. I'd like to believe that's why they're doing the experiments, but it's much more sinister than that.

An ancient secret society reveals itself and attempts to recruit me, the Bleeder King, expecting me to bow to their will as they create a humanless world. They're starting with Zombie Island, the new area my parents and zombies who didn't take the "cure" call home. If that's one of their tactics to get me on board with their plans, it's certainly backfired.

Once upon a time, I thought fate played a cruel trick on me. I kissed my zombie life behind and embraced the monster I'd become. Those scientists put Mikey and me through the ringer and we came out altered, damaged, and traumatized-but unlike any other Bleeder. I'm not simply a pile of cells who's had terrible things happen to him for no reason. Everything I've been through, everything I've learned will keep me alive. The second apocalypse is coming, with or without my help, and I will fight back with every breath and more. I may not resurrect, but I will take to the grave whoever gets in my way.
