Great storytelling

Anne M. Dunn is one of the greatest storytellers that I have ever read. Her stories, whether traditional or autobiographical, are both moving and enlightening. Even in those stories that are sad or wistful, her love and respect for humanity and the animal world give a dignity to the flawed, the disappointed, and the struggling that she so brilliantly depicts. She reminds us that there is hope in a grandmother's pride, a sacred white buffalo, a little girl's love, and in the traditions of her people. All in all a great book, one that I recommend to everyone.
