If we connect to animals in so many accepts, then why not compare emotions with them. Many of us build emotional bonds with our pets. In our day to day lives we see how Animals react to our behaviour.
We have seen how playful they get when we play with them. A dog wags its tale when it sees his human friend asking it to play. Fishes in the Aquarium at home understand and recognize the person who feeds them and form a group in a particular region where they are usually expected to get food from the feeder.
