When All You Have is the Legacy

There is something nostalgic about reminiscing of past events. Memories shared throughout one's life. I have listened too many of the same stories over and over again throughout my life. They never get boring; and even now that loved ones have gone on to heaven; the stories seem to become more real now than they used too. I seem to hang onto these memories just a little tighter now, they somehow seem more important than they used to be back then. Back then they were just stories of triumphs and tragedies; now they are the thread, the glue that kept us together as a family. This book is meant to bring that thread back to life; to once again weave the stories so etched in my mind as they happened back then. I asked my father to recount these events as I sat with him for hours, for week, once again listening to every detail. At times I helped fill in some of the blank places, where, through the years he had lost some memory of.I have tried my best to capture every essence, every detail of these life events so that you, the reader could share them with me.
