Wheel, Flour, And Family

By D D Wright

Wheels, Flour, and Family is heartfelt and uplifting. It's bursting with color and humor. Each page honors the love of family and the power of working together. It encourages responsibility, strengthens self-awareness, builds confidence, and brings families closer with every page.

Kate and Kait grew up dodging flour clouds and avoiding anything that smelled like baking. They preferred fixing bikes with their dad, while their brother Tod lived in the kitchen baking with their mom, whisk in hand. He didn't like working in the bike shop.

So, when their parents retired and handed the bakery to the twins, chaos hit burnt cookies, sunken cakes, and smoke alarms screaming nonstop. Suddenly, the girls wished they'd spent more time watching their mother bake.

Tod wasn't any better with bikes. When he inherited the bicycle shop, the wheels didn't just wobble, they rolled off. Every day, children came in with a parent crying over their broken bikes, some screaming, some throwing full-blown tantrums. Customers left shaking their heads. He wished he'd paid more attention to his dad.

Over the years, Kate and Kait learned to repair and sell bicycles like pros while helping their father. Tod, meanwhile, mastered the art of baking at his mother's side. In the end, the three of them discovered that with teamwork, laughter, pinched fingers, and maybe a fire extinguisher or two, they could honor both their parents' wishes and keep each family business thriving.
